Nokaoi did a good job of installing our new thermostat and the C-wire, which was previously not being used. Additionally, they identified that there was an immediate problem with our AC unit (which our home warranty fixed, for the time being). The only thing that would have made it better is that while the scope of work with the c-wire appeared to decrease (easier job than previously thought, not needing to run a new wire through the wall), the cost for the job did not.

The best. They were at my house and fixed my issue within an hour on a Friday night. Friendly and super helpful. I’d highly recommend hiring this company!

Jon at Nokaoi Heating is absolutely phenomenal! I hired him to put a new Heat Pump and Furnace into a house I had just purchased (the old one was more than 20 years old). He came out and gave me a very fair estimate and then.... Trumps tariffs were implemented, which put things on back order. So the system I was going to get wasnt going to be available for a month or more.
But there was another system that was more expensive, that I could get right away. I agreed to have this other system, and then Jon gave me a match price, so I didnt have to pay more!
He came out and installed the unit. Except it wouldnt work. The furnace worked but the heat pump wouldnt. He came back every day for a week, trouble shooting and trying to get it to work. The manufacturer's tech support was very unhelpful, even though he was on the phone with the local rep AND the back east headquarters rep, most of the day, almost every day.

After 2 weeks of Jon working on it and trying to figure out what was wrong with it, the manufacturer finally deemed the unit 'defective'.
So Jon ordered a replacement unit. That took the company a week to send. Once it was here, Jon came out and UNinstalled the defective unit, and installed the new unit.
And again, it wouldnt work!! He spent countless hours with tech support trying to get it to work. He asked the local rep to come out and take a look at it, to see what was going on, but the local rep refused to do that. Finally, after pulling the entire thing apart, Jon figured out that the installation instructions were wrong (they had missed a step!!) and once he did the missing step, it worked like a charm!
All told it took Jon almost a month to get my system working for me. He kept me informed all along the way, never left me hanging, and put off other clients in order to make sure MY unit was working! I would recommend Jon in a heartbeat for ANY of your HVAC needs!
About 2 weeks after he installed my unit, I decided that I wanted the wifi thermostat instead of the one Id ordered, so he dropped everything and was out at my house within a couple hours with the wifi thermostat and installed it in about 20 min and everything is working wonderfully!
Jon is one of those 'old fashioned' type, who knows what customer service means and guides his company by it.

Nokaoi got right back to me on request and then sent a bid right away. Set up a time and showed up on site as promised. Rare to find an HVAC team that will help out starting up a system after a DIY mechanical electrical mini split install. Everything went fine on pressure test and pump down on both multi zone condensers. They even helped me fit up a difficult to figure out ceiling unit grill. Called back after to make sure everything is still ok.
