You have a black Dodge. Pickup here in south Seattle, driving pretty recklessly. It's cut me off and ran two red lights. Whoever's driving, it is definitely a negative publicity billboard for you

The team, Ricky and Hunter, did an awesome job efficiently diagnosing some drain and hot water tank issues. I was able to quickly schedule a new tank installation. The job was done in less time than estimated even though they had a heck of a job removing the old tank, and the actual cost was less than estimated. I've used O'Neill over the years and their service has always been thorough, fast, and cost-effective.

I had a job done by OāNeill plumbing. The first guy they sent out wasnāt sure what needed to be done so the manager came out to take a look at my water heater and quoted me $600-$700. Since a friend recommended them, I went ahead and said yes. They guys showed up and 1.25hrs later wanted $1200ādouble what the quote was. Had I known that it was going to be $1200, i would have gotten other quotes. Ricky did call the manager who confirmed that I was quoted 600-700 but it was not honored. He knocked off some and it came to $1029. Still a lot more than quoted. So if you use them, make sure to confirm pricing before using them. They were nice however I wonāt be using them again as it did feel a bit like bait and switch. Iāve also asked for my invoice and have yet to receive it.

First time customer of OāNeill Plumbing, and after the excellent job that Ricky G. (and his apprentice Hunter) did, I can confidently say that OāNeill will now be our go-to plumber.
The first thing that immediately impressed me is that when Ricky arrived, he already knew what the scope of the job was, and within minutes, after I provided a few details, he started work.
(A SIDE NOTE: To contrast this, the last local plumbing company I called to replace a broken toilet, instead came in and the first thing they did was a 20 minute āplumbing assessmentā of the house to determine āwhat elseā needed to be done. Armed with an iPad they inputted āissue after issueā to the total of $6000 worth of āurgent workā. And of course, āthey had timeā to start that work ātodayā. If we hadn't needed the toilet replaced I would have told that other company to leave.)
It was immediately apparent that Ricky was a highly skilled, master craftsman. I figured that getting the old circle disc valves off might be a problem. But they were a beast.
However, being well versed with old West Seattle plumbing, Ricky wasnāt surprised or concerned with the fact that the valves clearly didnāt want to come off of the pipe after enjoying the last 76 years there.
While Ricky worked on the valves, he instructed Hunter on what additional tools and supplies he needed brought in from the truck so he could get these stubborn valves off. Ricky & Hunter were a well-structured team.
It wasn't easy, but Ricky got both valves off.
And the new cold pipe valve went on quickly.
The hot water pipe however, had other ideas.
When the original valve was installed back in 1949, the pipe end was damaged, and the new valve was not able to catch-on to it.
So Ricky had to replace a 3ā end-section of the hot water pipe and the new valve went on perfectly!
Throughout this entire process, Ricky explained to me and showed me exactly what was happening.
I really appreciated that he called me in to take a look immediately when he discovered the issue with the hot water pipe.
As well as told me the next steps he needed to take to resolve the issue.
As it turned out, weād bought the wrong style bathroom faucet, so the old one couldnāt be replaced that day, but Iād already decided based on this job that I was going to talk to Ricky about the other plumbing things (bathtub faucet, garbage disposal, kitchen sink replacement) projects we needed done.
And if you think this experience canāt get even better ā well it did!
Our bathtub hadnāt been draining well for 4 years. Ricky took one look at it, asked Hunter to bring in a tool from the truck that looked like something out of Ghostbusters and cleared the bathtub drain immediately! It drains perfectly now.
As for the kitchen, I was sure we needed a new garbage disposal.
Ricky turned it on, listened to it and said āthereās something in thereā. I replied that weād looked in it with a flashlight many times and couldnāt see anything near the blades.
So he sticks his bare hand in there and in seconds, pulls out a plastic bottle cap that had been lodged UNDER the blades, which is why we never saw it!
He also informed me that we had a high-end garbage disposal that was in perfect condition. (Yet the other company wanted to replace it and replumb it ābecause it needed it.ā)
And he did not add the bathtub drain and garbage disposal fix as a separate charge, he just fixed them because he was here and it could be fixed quickly.
Seriously good customer service.
Ricky worked efficiently, effectively, and made use of every minute that he & Hunter were here.
They were both very nice and you could see the care they put into their work. Not once did I feel like they were here for a ājob callā but rather they were here with the goal of solving a plumbing problem for a homeowner.

O'Neill did an excellent job installing a toilet and replacing the stop valve for me. The brand new toilet was broken in shipping, so they had to come back another day after I got a replacement one. No charge for the return visit!!! Thanks a lot!
