Jason was on time and did a good job. He found the problem and made proper repairs in short order. We will request Jason by name if we have any problems in the future.

Marc came in the expected service call timeframe. He did a thorough review of the equipment outdoors, checked the main duct and filter and a temperature check. He told me the equipment was in very good working order. He also donned protective gear to check the crawlspace under the house. He reported it was in great condition. The vapor barrier had been very well installed, the floor was well insulated, and there was no sign of moisture on the foundation walls. He also said I'd be getting the same information reported to my email address.
Marc was efficient and pleasant.

Dan was very efficient. Did a video county inspection of the heat pump installation including electrical. Also helped me to understand the thermostat a little better.
Thanks Precision Air!

Arrived on time, but did not have the correct air filter for my Trane unit less than 10 years old. Wanted to charge an additional $150 to order one, and not arriving 7-10 days. Found a replacement on Amazon for $60 for 2 filters arriving in 2 days. Canceled my service and will find another company to service our unit.

Avoid Precision Air ā Dishonest Sales, Incompatible Install, and $3,600 Extortion Threat
I contracted Precision Air for a $20,600 install of a Carrier two-stage furnace and five-stage heat pump. I was assuredāboth in writing and in repeated verbal conversationsāthat this system would deliver five stages of efficiency. What I didnāt realize until later: the equipment they sold me was incompatible. The competing quote I received (only $1K more) was for a properly matched Carrier Infinity system.
On install day, the tech reiterated Iād get full 5-stage operation. A senior tech came and left, and the onsite tech mentioned I might need a Carrier thermostat. He had one, said it was included, but didnāt install it. I asked the office to clarifyāno one called.
Day 2 of what was sold as a 1-day job, the tech forgot the thermostat, said again I probably needed it, and again I asked for clarification from the office. Eventually, a manager calledānot to explain, but to admit the equipment was in fact incompatible and Iād need an entirely different heater and thermostat to get the performance I was promised. When I asked why he hadnāt called earlier, he said he was ācontemplating what to tell me.ā
I offered to pay $1,000 moreāthe difference between their bid and the correct system another contractor quoted. He said heād finalize pricing that day. I got a vague voicemail recapping our talk, no numbers. After the holiday weekend, I had to chase them, only to be told theyād decided they werenāt at fault and demanded a $3,600 change order. This was for their own mistake, which their techs and manager already acknowledged.
By this point, the job was already 7 days in, I had exposed wires, a non-functional heat pump, messy install work, and no confidence in their office team. I said Iād rather pay someone else to fix it, and was threatened with a lien on my home.
Eventually, I paid the full $24K just to get it over with. The field crew was apologetic and clearly frustrated with their management. As a final insult, I came home to a flooded garage from an improperly installed condensate pump. They fixed itābut it summed up the whole experience.
I confirmed with Carrier: this company absolutely should have known better and never should have sold or installed incompatible equipment.
Iāve owned two homes and replaced HVAC systems before. Iāve worked with dozens of vendors. This was by far the worst and most exhausting experience Iāve ever had. Do yourself a favorāgo with someone else.
