Transforming Yards with Hardscaping
Transforming Yards with Hardscaping
At PRO Maintenance Landscape & Construction, we pride ourselves on our ability to bring our clients' visions to life. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Kristen C. from Swampscott, MA, who approached us with a clear goal: to transform her yard into a beautiful and functional space.
The Before State
When Kristen first reached out to us, she shared her frustrations regarding the state of her yard. After an unsuccessful hardscaping attempt during the pandemic, she was left with uneven ground, poorly executed features, and overgrown tree limbs that needed trimming. Additionally, she was unaware of some foundational issues that were affecting her home.
Kristen's desire for a revitalized outdoor area that matched her vision presented an exciting challenge for our team. The project involved several components, including cutting back tree limbs, redoing segments of hardscaping, leveling out the yard with additional soil, and creating new garden beds.
The Transformation Process
Our team dove into the project, focusing on clear communication and meticulous planning. Here’s a breakdown of the steps we took:
1. Tree Limb Trimming: We started by carefully cutting back the tree limbs to enhance light exposure and improve the overall aesthetic of the landscape.
2. Hardscaping Revitalization: We evaluated the existing hardscaping and determined areas that required redesign or repair. Our skilled crew utilized quality materials to ensure that the new hardscaping not only looked great but also functioned effectively.
3. Soil Leveling: To give Kristen's yard a smooth and level appearance, we added high-quality soil and ensured proper grading, creating a solid foundation for the garden beds.
4. Garden Beds Installation: Our team designed and constructed beautiful garden beds, tailored to hold a variety of plants that would flourish in the newly transformed outdoor space.
5. Planting: We carefully selected and planted a variety of plants, incorporating Kristen's preferences while also suggesting plants that would thrive in her yard's conditions.
The After Results
The transformation was remarkable! Kristen's yard underwent a significant facelift, turning it into a stunning retreat. The revitalized hardscaping enhanced the beauty of the landscape while the newly created garden beds provided space for vibrant plants to flourish.
Kristen was thrilled with the results, and her satisfaction was echoed by her neighbors, who couldn’t help but comment on the transformative work we completed.
> “I was very fortunate to work with David and his company to achieve a vision I had for my yard. It involved cutting tree limbs, adding hardscaping, redoing some hardscaping that I had done during the pandemic and did a poor job at (!), leveling out my yard with additional soil and creating garden beds plus planting plants. David helped me achieve my vision and also added in his own flair, which I really appreciated. They also pointed out that I was having issues with my foundation that I was unaware of, and we were able to fix those. I am very impressed with their professionalism and with their good work ethic. Even my neighbors are commenting on what a nice job they have done and what a transformation my yard has undergone. I highly recommend this company.” — Kristen C.
