Transforming Electrical Challenges into Solutions
At Prodigy Electric, we pride ourselves on being the go-to electrical specialists in the Austin area. Recently, we had the pleasure of assisting a customer, Lee Eddins, who faced a couple of pressing electrical challenges. It's always gratifying to turn a potentially stressful situation into a positive experience for our clients. Let us take you through the process of how we transformed Lee's electrical issues.
The "Before" State: Facing Electrical Challenges
When Lee reached out to us, he found himself in a bind. He had just had a gas range installed but was unaware that a different outlet plug was necessary. To add to the complications, not long after, he discovered that the entire electricity on the back of his house was non-functional. As someone who wasn't well-versed in electrical work, Lee was understandably concerned about these issues, especially since they posed potential safety hazards.
Our Expert Response and Transformation Process
Understanding the urgency, our team swiftly dispatched an electrician to Lee's home. Our priority was to address his immediate need for the new outlet plug, ensuring that he wouldn’t miss dinner that evening. We installed the correct plug with minimal disruption to his day.
However, we didn't stop there. When we investigated the electrical failure at the back of the house, our electrician, Josh, discovered that faulty wiring from a previous deck installation was the culprit. Not only were we able to rewire the connections correctly, but we also identified several fire hazards that needed immediate attention.
Using high-quality materials and our team’s extensive expertise, we meticulously rewired the affected areas, enhancing both safety and functionality. Our swift and thorough approach allowed us to not only restore power but also to secure the home against future electrical issues.
The "After" Results: A Safe and Efficient Home
Thanks to our intervention, Lee has expressed his gratitude with rave reviews of our service.
> “Prodigy Electric has been great for us. They came out on short notice to help us when we had our gas range installed. …Josh informed us that we had some fire hazards as well from the way it was wired. He fixed it correctly, and we have not had any more issues. Thanks, Prodigy Electric!” - Lee Eddins
After we completed the work, Lee no longer faced any electrical issues. His home is now safe, efficient, and, importantly, dinner-ready without delays!

High-Flying Porch Light Installation
At Prodigy Electric, we pride ourselves on being responsive and providing top-notch electrical services to our community in Austin. Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a client, Jenny, who found herself in a bit of a bind. She was in the process of selling her home when the prospective buyers requested that the non-functional front porch lights be replaced. This was no simple task, as the lights were positioned 25 feet high!
The Challenge
Jenny and her partner realized this was a task they couldn't handle themselves, especially since they procrastinated until just three days before the closing date. Not only was the height an issue, but they also discovered they didn’t have access to a ladder that could reach the required height. Faced with this challenge, they turned to Thumbtack in search of immediate assistance.
Our Prompt Response
Our team at Prodigy Electric was quick to jump into action. Joshua, one of our dedicated electricians, was the first to respond to Jenny's quote request. Understanding the urgency of the situation, he provided a quote almost immediately and scheduled the job within two days, despite their tight timeline.
> "Joshua arrived on time, was respectful, and completed the task effortlessly." - Jenny Lack

On the day of the service, Joshua arrived equipped and ready to tackle the installation of the high porch lights. He took all the necessary safety precautions, ensuring that the job was completed without incident. Our team prides itself on not just completing the work, but doing so with a level of excellence that our clients have come to expect.
Within a short period, Jenny had beautifully functioning porch lights that would enhance the home's curb appeal for prospective buyers. Not only were these lights a necessity for the sale, but they also provided an inviting atmosphere for the new owners.

Transforming Our Customers' Spaces
Transforming Our Customers' Spaces
At Prodigy Electric, LLC, we take immense pride in providing top-notch electrical services to homeowners in Austin. Our recent project, undertaken for Vida Novickas, is a perfect example of how our team can transform a living space, enhancing both comfort and safety through expert electrical installations.
The Challenge
Vida reached out to us with a few concerns. She wanted to upgrade her home with new ceiling fans and additional safety measures. The existing ceiling fans weren't just outdated; they were also poorly positioned, making the living space feel cramped and insufficiently illuminated. Additionally, with concerns for safety in mind, Vida requested the installation of new fire and carbon monoxide detectors.
Our Solution
When our team arrived, we were greeted with excitement as Vida shared her vision for her living space. Understanding the importance of quality service and customer satisfaction, we set to work immediately.
- Ceiling Fans: We removed the three old ceiling fans, ensuring to repair the areas where one fan had previously been taken down. We installed new, stylish ceiling fans that not only fit the home's aesthetic but also increased airflow.
- Lighting Fixtures: Our electricians also moved to enhance the lighting in Vida's living room and dinette areas. By replacing five fluorescent light fixtures with modern alternatives and taking the extra step to change a few bulbs for her husband, we ensured the spaces became brighter and more inviting.
- Safety Detectors: Safety is a top priority, so we installed new fire and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home, giving Vida peace of mind.
The Results
The transformation was remarkable! Vida reported that with the new higher and lighter ceiling fans, her living space felt much brighter and larger. She expressed her delight, stating:
> "Not only were the two electricians on time and friendly but also very efficient and expert in their craft. The owner, Joshua Grooms, was easy to contact before the project and during the project. I will definitely reach out to Prodigy Electric for my next electrical project."
Our team’s dedication to efficiency and top-quality service not only met but exceeded Vida's expectations. She commented on how her living room felt more spacious and inviting, highlighting the difference the upgraded ceiling fans made.
Conclusion
At Prodigy Electric, we believe in transforming spaces through expert electrical work. Every project we undertake is done with precision and care, ensuring our clients are satisfied and their homes are safe.
