Expert HVAC Repair Transforms Comfort At PT Maintenance & Mechanical, we understand how vital a well-functioning HVAC system is for your home's comfort. When we received a call from Martin, who was experiencing issues with his 16-year-old American Standard AC unit, we knew we had a task ahead of us that required our expertise and dedication. The Challenge: A Failing AC Unit Martin reached out to us one evening, around 9:30 PM. He had realized that his central AC unit was not working properly and suspected that either the starting capacitor or the compressor's fan might be the culprit. With the summer heat bearing down, we understood the urgency of his situation. > "My central AC unit was not working. I figured that either the starting capacitor or fan on top of the compressor is bad... I found PT Maintenance LLC and texted a brief message. Amazingly, around 10:00 PM, somebody replied and came to fix the system the next day." - Martin, C. Our Approach: Quick Response and Thorough Service With Martin’s permission, our team rolled into action. We pride ourselves on prompt responses, and in this case, we were on-site the very next day. Our certified technician began by carefully inspecting the AC unit. - Initial Check: We checked the starting capacitor first, as per Martin's suggestion. - Diagnosis: After ruling out the capacitor, the technician discovered that the issue lay with the cooling fan’s bearings – a common problem in older AC systems. - Replacement: We replaced the fan with a new, efficient component and meticulously checked the entire system post-installation to ensure everything was running smoothly. The Result: Restored Comfort and Satisfaction With the repairs complete, Martin's AC was back to its optimal performance level, ensuring the indoor environment would once again be comfortable amidst the Texas heat. Feeling relieved and satisfied, Martin expressed his gratitude and left us with a glowing review: > "My AC system is American Standard and is 16 years old. It may be able to last one or two more years. I would strongly recommend PT Maintenance LLC to fix your AC system before getting a completely new system!"
