Radiant always serves our needs perfectly. I will use them again in the future. This time our technician was David Farmer. The guy was awesome, explaining everything and getting the work done quickly.

TLDR: They’re fine. Good cust serv but maybe overpriced.
This month, one committed tech made all the difference improving our opinion of Radiant. He answered an after hours call and stayed late until he was confident our issue was resolved. Turns out simply adjusting the blower can mitigate humidity!
TBH, prior to that visit, sticker shock put a bad taste in our mouths. In 2023, we chose a high efficiency system to replace an old broken one. When we were shown the new install we were surprised by the size - no one explained it’d be a huge system for our small house - which made us question if we’d been swindled/oversold (jury still out on that one, we also don’t trust salespeople and assumed the equipment would be the same cost across providers, the need was urgent, and luckily we had the ability to bite the bullet at the time). So that’s on us for due diligence, and on them for taking advantage of a sale without full transparency? Plus we had the difficult choice to proactively replace the water heater at the same time, which would’ve been nice to get a bundled discount (technically could’ve waited, but didn’t want to risk it and decided just to get it done in one job. Surprise: oversized tankless installed - we know bc of a previous house with newer system - the most annoying part was the old tank worked fine and the new one occasionally spits out cool/cold water during a hot shower with no obvious pattern).
Understandably, when the AC was stuggling last month we were confused and irritated - why is this new pricey monster not working? Admittedly a lot of other variables in our situation, and this latest on-call tech saved the day and earned his glowing review. Just trying to be honest and give context on impression of company as a whole. Is new equipment somehow bigger instead of smaller, lower quality, or more prone to issues? Did they sell us shit we don’t need? Are there multiple dimensions? Lots of questions. Loads of privilege here. We increased the value of the property for whatever happens in the future.
Bottom line: customer service is what you’re paying for (and maybe their marketing team). Phone reps are kind and quick to help, techs are friendly and offer maintenance advice between routine checkups. Had we dug deeper maybe we would’ve found a better “deal” but the warranty, rapid response to maintenance needs, and customer service increase both value and cost. They also offer interest free payment plans through Wells Fargo, so that helped make it work for us. If you have the luxury of time (we didn’t), do your research BEFORE the problem starts - ask around, all the obvious stuff. Radiant employs solid techs but I’m still skeptical of slick sales!
For reference: Back in 2020 I worked with McCullough - they were fine. At the time I was eligible for a free weatherization program thanks to a city grant where Austin outsourced third parties to install insulation, solar screens, eco thermostat (look it up! great program!!). I only mention this because they’re my only comparison and not a fair one because while they were likely compensated, I wasn’t technically a paying client so there wasn’t as much motivation to go “above and beyond”.

One of the most dishonest encounters we have EVER had with a business - do not use this company unless you're willing to be scammed! PLEASE READ if you are considering using their AC services, and beware!
We returned home after a few days out of town to above average temperatures. Despite quickly recooling, we wanted someone to take a look at our system to assure there were no underlying issues. We saw the positive reviews for Radiant, and a technician (Ryan) came out to our home the same day. After a brief inspection, he immediately began using excessive technical jargon to the point of being completely non-intelligible, then ended with informing us we needed an entirely new, tens-of-thousands-of-dollars AC system. We were taken aback, given that our home is only 5 years old and has a top of the line Carrier unit. Hesitant, we told the technician we would need time to consider. Shortly after Ryan left, the indoor temperature started to climb. We discovered that our outdoor unit was completely non-functional, when it had been on and working prior to his arrival. My husband texted him back, very non-confrontationally, to ask if something could have been misplaced or disconnected, and Ryan immediately called him back - no doubt to leave no trace of a text conversation. After more technical jargon, he mentioned that he *possibly, maybe* had pulled the kill switch (for some BS reason) and hadn't put it back. My husband was able to locate the switch and turn the unit back on, and we have had no issues since.
A week later, we got a second opinion from another trusted AC company, who informed us that everything looked great - aside from a component of our attic unit, which had been turned off for some reason. Gee, I wonder who could've done that?
This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. They lied to us, the technician intentionally tried to deceive us, and this company and individual attempted to scam us out of tens of thousands of dollars. They are predatory towards first-time homeowners, using jargon to instill fear and create a false sense of urgency. 100% scammers, take your time and money elsewhere!

Terrible business. Dishonest and unprofessional.
They misrepresented a part they sold us, completely lied about its quality, and charged us over ten times its actual value. We filed a fraud claim with our credit card company and got our money back.
For genuine customer feedback, check their profile on Yield or the Better Business Bureau. Avoid this place at all costs!

First time using Radiant Plumbing. I’m very satisfied with the service I received. AB was the technician that did the work. He installed a kitchen faucet. He was thorough with his explanation of options and pricing. The work was completed in a timely manner and without any issues. I plan on using Radiant again in the near future.
