6 months after they "Fixed" my issue it happened again. $9,000 later they "Fixed" it again. But once again my bathroom is flooded. And they are charging us $150 to evaluate why we are having the exact same issue we had the last two times. It appears whatever they did to "fix" my main drain in November didn't work, and I'm being charged $850 for them to unclog it today. I've never lived somewhere that needs to have the main drain unclogged every 6 months.

Never call Reliant. Don't trust this business!

TLDR: 3 days and $16k worth of charges later, we have a river of human waste on our patio/backyard (where my two year old plays) and a warning light and alarm going off confirming our septic reservoir is completely full and charged, despite Reliant installing a brand new grinder pump at exorbitant rates and 'taking care of this' just a day earlier. See attached photos.

Finally kicked Alan and team off our property on day 4, when he wanted a completely unnecessary $4k to pull up and put back our sealed cement pavers on that same patio (are plumbers even licensed to do this?) in order to do a spot repair - again, that was confirmed as completely unnecessary and offered to be fixed for $600 by traditional methods by other reputable plumbers.

Pros: Responded quickly to a 7pm Saturday call when our septic backed up
Cons: Literally everything else

I am spending more money to remediate, rework and clean up the work that Reliant has done here and remain convinced that much of the work they did do / execute was completely unnecessary - and I am finding documentation of that from home inspections that I had completed just weeks earlier and by getting documented estimates and assessments from other actual professionals who I have forced to find to do things right and fix the work that Reliant did.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this business at all costs!!

I believe that I was completely taken advantage of and ripped off by Reliant and I will never recommend this plumber and will never use them again.

Reliant installed a tankless hot water system for us last year and as an included service, recently came to check it and flush it out. While here, the technician took us outside and pointed out a wet spot in our yard near the water shutoff valves which was also near the start of our sprinkler system pipes. My husband suspected it was a leak in the irrigation system that wasn't a big deal, but the plumber noted that our water meter continued to run when he shut the water off to the irrigation system. He said we "might" have a water main leak and “IF” that was the case, it could cost $2200 (but he also said we would get 10% off of this amount).

From the way he spoke and the amount of the repair he stated, we were shocked and thought that we might have a major issue to contend with. Because of that, we gave him permission to dig up the area and take a look because if it was a major issue, we would need to have it addressed. Please note, he quoted this amount based on a big “maybe” since we could not see what the actual issue was without removing some soil to see the pipe.

Two other plumbers arrived and began digging a small area to locate the leak. It did not take them long to confirm that the leak was indeed in a PVC irrigation pipe that may have been damaged by some small tree roots. My husband and I checked in a couple of times to see what the issue was and the progress and we were glad to see that it was just a minor irrigation pipe repair that was completed in under two hours (much of that time was the guys just waiting for the PVC glue to dry).

At the point the actual issue was determined, we should have been consulted and the price should have been adjusted to account for the actual repair. If they had told us what the real issue was after they identified the problem and the cost of the repair, at that point they could have just charged us for identifying the problem. Then we could have addressed it ourselves as PVC pipe repair is a simple repair that we could have done ourselves.

Instead, to our surprise, Reliant charged us the full $2200, even without a 10% discount. They never adjusted the price once it was clear that the repair was a minor PVC irrigation pipe repair, and not some big “main line leak”. It took a full two weeks of many calls by both myself and my husband to Reliant to finally get a manager to come by our house to discuss the situation and our shock at being charged so much for a small repair. At one brief moment, I was able to talk to one manager, Evan, on the phone about the situation. But after stating that he would check with the technician to get his side of the story and call me back the next day, he never called me back.

To say my husband and I have been livid and stressed about the whole experience is a major understatement. I feel so ripped off and angry about the whole thing weeks later. Once we finally got a manager to our house two weeks later, he stated he couldn’t do anything about it and refused to budge at all on the full amount. I feel ripped off and completely taken advantage of and would recommend EVERYONE steer clear of this business.

Edit to Add 5/24/24 -
While it appeared that the business was trying to reach out to me after I posted my original review, that was 100% not the case. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. After seeing the business response to my review, I did call them yet again and spoke to yet another person (every single time I have called them I've always gotten a different person). And I gave all of my information yet again and described the situation. I was told someone would get back to me. Two weeks later, absolutely nothing. I was (and would be) willing to update my review if they showed ANY interest in rectifying this situation. But they clearly would rather scam their customers out of their money and ghost them. Disgusting.

Mack was great and came right away. He explained very well what needed to be done and did a nice clean job. This is the first time I have called Reliant and I will use them again.

Mack was very friendly and prompt. He identified the issue quickly, and was up front regarding our different repair options/pricing for each.

Reliant Plumbing has proven to be a dishonest company. After they showed no regard to my home, they charged my card without my authorization. Although one employee (Shawn) seemed to care and want to make things right, the only thing the owner has done is take money without authorization. WE HAVE CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE STATING WE DO NOT AND DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE CHARGE. But once again, management or owner did nothing
