At first I was excited, I just bought my first property! It needed some updating since it was built in 1990. So I search local contractors because I want to support our local businesses. I stumble across Torrance Kitchen & Baths. Reviews are good, their work looks good. I like that they operate as a "one stop shop." Not overly expensive but what seems like a fair value for quality work. Then in the first week, during demo, a window gets broken. I think, "Ok, well the place is 30 years old...I saw rot on the framing..." But now to replace the window (3rd Party) is almost $5000. But, Torrance K&B now has to do a "change order" to rebuild the framing. Well it's only $750, no big deal. But that's just the start. The painting was 3*, at best. And still wasn't even completely finished. And from there it was down hill. Our major project was the master bathroom. The tile work was so bad that I had to complain multiple times, and even the final tile work I accepted because I just needed them to finish. To this day I'm not even 75% satisfied with the tile work. What was originally quoted as two weeks to complete all work (prior to me moving in) turned in to over 5 weeks. The Project Manager was MIA all the time and hardly ever visited except for one of the first walk throughs. At least in my experience, they have the same "crew" do everything on the project, which is very hard to accept. No one person or crew can be an expert in plumbing, painting, tile, and everything else Torrance K&B expects them to be. Our crew was great, but their employer expects them to be jack of all trades. It became more and more difficult after weeks of secluding our animals during the day and explaining to friends visiting why work was still occuring at 5pm+ on Saturday night to finish our project late. After spending over $20k with TK&B, I would not recommend them unless you are looking for a headache. Everything is an upcharge or "change order."

Renaissance recently remodeled one of our bathrooms. I usually do not write reviews. However, the outstanding work and service which we received must be shared. We had a toilet leak in our bathroom requiring subfloor repair/replacement and flooring remodel. Before finding Renaissance and Mehran, we asked for quotes from several plumbing, restoration and flooring companies. Not only were those quotes extremely higher, but those companies also were not forthcoming. Then we met Mehran from Renaissance. Mehran is extremely trustworthy. He took the time to educate us and gave us a fair quote. Even though the quote was one of the lowest, the quality of work was top-notch with great attention to detail. The whole team is professional, responsive, and expedient. In this difficult time of COVID, the team members all wore masks and applied good hygiene. You can not go wrong with using Renaissance for any remodeling work. We will definitely return to Renaissance for future remodeling work. Thank you Mehran and Mehran.

It was a great experience having Renaissance Kitchen Bath & Flooring work on our master bath remodel. Mehran and his entire crew are all very professional, friendly, and attentive to detail.

There were men working every day and they were always punctual. We never had a day waiting around and wondering if any work would be done. There was never any lack of communication during the entire project. Any unforeseen issues were immediately communicated to us so there weren't any unpleasant surprises at the end. In fact, Mehran kept constant contact with us, whether it was on progress updates, minor issues, or schedule. Anytime we had any questions or concerns, Mehran was very quick to respond and resolve.

RKB has by far exceeded our expectations in customer service and quality of their work. We greatly appreciate what they've done for us!

We had our hallway bathroom remodeled through Torrance Kitchens, Baths and Flooring last month and they did a fantastic job. We added last minute details in the middle of the project and they were responsive and flexible. Like any remodeling project, we hit a couple of bumps, but I was impressed by how customer-centered and professional Sam and David were in resolving these situations. I recommend them wholeheartedly and plan to remodel our master bathroom as our next project with them.

We had work done last year and honestly I'm still annoyed when I see my crooked cabinets and now some misaligned drawers. It looks ok from far away just not as good as it could of and along with delays it wasn't fun. We went with them because the older Mehran designed a beautiful kitchen and helped pick out a beautiful countertop. Hence the three stars. The actual work is where it went wrong. Workers disappeared at the end and work got sloppy. Left tons of trash in middle of house when "done" also left still good products so they cost their own company money and a bunch of drywall got ruined outside. Only writing this because came across them as I'm looking to remodel bathrooms now so they lost out on another 30k project.

As soon as one says "contractors," most people have negative stories to share. I am happy to report, this one is a happy story, which I am more than happy to share. Renaissance Kitchen, Bath & Flooring are reasonably priced, honest, punctual, professional, and very conscientious. Both Mehrans were excellent communicators and kept me posted on all aspects of my master bathroom project. Any areas of concern or questions are quickly addressed or remedied. There were no surprises. I didn't feel like I was working with contractors because they were so pleasant. The work area was always left clean and tidy. The city inspectors were also impressed with their work. Both Mehrans take pride in their work and it definitely shows in my bathroom. Anyone who sees the bathroom is impressed with the fine workmanship. I have a couple more projects in mind and Renaissance Kitchen, Bath & Flooring will be the first I call when I am ready to do them.
