Transforming Trees Safely & Effectively

At Royal Tree Services, we understand that trees are both beautiful and vital elements of your landscape, but when they start to pose risks, it's time to take action. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a project in St. Petersburg where we transformed a client's outdoor space by carefully managing some challenging tree issues.

The Before: A Risky Situation

When Danny Staffiles initially reached out to us, he voiced concerns over several large trees that were not just overhanging his home but also posed a potential threat to his detached garage and his neighbor's property. One particular Live Oak was excessively tall and dangerously close to his roof. This situation prompted Danny to seek our help, as he worried about possible damage during storms or with regular wear and tear.

The trees needed trimming, and safe removal was a must. Danny had initially sought quotes from multiple companies, looking for a reliable service that understood his needs.

Our Approach: Safety and Professionalism

Upon arriving for the assessment, we immediately recognized the hazards posed by the overhanging branches. Our team prioritized safety for both the property and our crew. We suggested a comprehensive approach: removing two big trees while also trimming and thinning the Live Oak.

Running into mechanical issues with our equipment on the job day didn't deter us. We swiftly communicated the situation to Danny, letting him know about the delay and how we planned to borrow equipment from another service—utilizing our good relationships in the industry to ensure minimal disruption to his project.

Additionally, we employed the use of a "climber"—a skilled team member in a harness with a chainsaw—and avoided mechanical lifts for the high trimming. This approach allowed for precise cuts, preserving the integrity of the remaining trees while keeping risks at bay.

The After: A Safe, Clean Landscape

We are thrilled with the results of this project! After the tree removal and trimming, Danny was left with a much safer outdoor area. He was particularly impressed with our stump grinding service, which left no trace of the removed trees and a clean space where yard maintenance could easily be carried out afterward.

“My experience with Royal Tree and Lawn Service was great. Brandon responded quickly to get me my initial estimate, which was competitive to other quotes I received. ... On the day of service, there was equipment problems, but Brandon let me know they would be running late and evidently borrowed equipment from another service, which not only kept him on my job but also indicates to me that he has good relationships with his competitors.” - Danny Staffiles --- Homeowner

Moreover, the best part, according to Danny, was how we efficiently handled the cleanup—the pile of wood that resulted from the removals was taken care of, leaving him with just a simple sweeping task.
