In short Habit is dishonest in his dealings and workmanship.
Make sure you ask Habit to specify write down specific work he would perform for the quoted price before starting any work. Be sure to ask him to show his license and insurance paper works to make sure he have them as the claimed over the phone.
I already trouble shoot and found out that I had a electrical light switch box in the first room that was partially burned out which caused the voltage to drop from 120v to about 30v when I plug in an appliance to the third outlet in that room and any outlets in the adjacent room. However, two of the outlets in the first room that was controlled by the switch still have a full connection and electricity.
I called Safe Electric. Habib answered told me that he is a licensed electrician and have the contractor insurance. Habit said he can come in to give me a free estimate. When Habib arrived I explained to him the problems that I found from my own trouble shooting. I asked Habit that if he fixed that partially burned junction box problem that would also have fixed the problem in the third outlet and all other outlets in the adjacent room. Habit said yes.
Within a few minutes of his arrival and immediately after I explained and showed the problem to him, he then gave me a quote for $85 to fix the problem which I agreed. Too my amazement, he then proceeded and and only going to reconnect back the partially burned wire together. Which I stopped him. I told him that if he was going to do just that, I could have just done it myself. I asked him to pull down the wire, inspect only use the good and unburned part of the wire.
He then said to do that he would have to fish in a new wire, which means he would have to go up the attic to cut out the existing wire and put in a junction box to connect a new wire and fish the new wire through the wall to replace the existing one. So he would charge me extra which would bring up the cost to 200. I asked why can't he just pull down the existing wire. He said there there may be several staples that stapled the wire to the stud making it hard or impossible to pull the wire down. So he would have to fish in a new wire. I should have stopped him and send him out the door when he was going to do a lousy job of reconnecting the partially burned wire together a 5 minutes (now I think about it) job and charge me 85 dollars. But instead I agreed to that since he already cut out the wire to the existing switch.
I then asked him if he is going to replace the partially burned plastic box, too. He said that's a good idea, but he'll charge me another 15 dollars for that. At the time I didn't like the sound of it and the progression of it the pricing going up as we get more and more into the detail of the work. But somehow I went against my gut's feeling and agreed to that, too. That's because I don't want to get into argument with him since he already cut a small section of the burned wires.
A few minutes later he explained to me that may be he can just remove one of the stable and try to pull down the wire without having to fish in a new wire. If he can do that, you would not have to charge me the entire amount of 215. He would charge less may be around 150 instead.
So he pulled out one stable from the stud through the whole. He went up the attic to remove some stables. After he got up there, I climbed up my own taller stair to to watch him working up there. He seems to be removing more stables than he had to. He went all the way to about 10 feet beyond the entry point to the wall. I was wondering if he really had to do that.
I wasn't going to connect wire from the adjacent room to the third outlet until I asked him to. After that he brought his toolbox back to his vehicle in a hurry without even verifying that the connection to the adjacent room is good. So, I hurried and connect a lamp to one of the outlet in the adjacent room. There were in fact no electricity to the adjacent room. So I told him that and he started to try to trouble shoot the problem at the adjacent room and then said he would have to charge me more if he was going to trouble shoot and fix the problem at the adjacent room. I told him that there were electricity to that room yesterday and there shouldn't be any problem with it. I politely suggested that he may have connected the wire to the wrong whole which he later tried to blame that on me but I insist that it was his mistakes which eventually he did admitted it.
I ended up paying him 150 as he requested. But now that I have time to think things through, I felt so dump for allowing him to jerk me around like that. Further more, I am starting to feel that the need to go up to the attic to inspect his work. I hope he did not punch the wires or do anything stupid up there to cause future outages or fire hazards because he mentioned to me that may be I should have all the electrical outlets replaced as a precaution

While in the process of remodeling my house - which included three bathrooms (a house built in the 1940's) I ended up shopping around with a number of Electricians. During this process it became apparent that we had to upgrade the entire electrical system of the house and the proposals that I was getting were depressing me entirely. Thank god I ran into a contractor friend of mine who wholeheartedly recommended Habib. Not only did he give me a fair price - which was significantly below the other estimates, but he was exactly what everyone here says: On-time, courteous, professional, clean, knowledgeable, trustworthy, you name it.
100% recommendation!

Habib was very professional, answered the phone immediately and was able to get to my house withing a few hours. Over the past few months, my outside breaker kept going off whenever I ran the dryer and I lost power in my entire house. A few days ago, it stopped working altogether. After arriving on site, Habib tested the wire going from my dryer to the fuse box, then to the outside breaker and determined the breaker itself had gone bad. Habib also very helpful and cleaned the area under the dryer while we had it pulled out and helped fix the exhaust vent tube so the lint wouldn't blow all over my garage floor. While he was here, I also had him fix an outside light that had never worked my HOA never got around to fixing on thier own.
I would definately recommend Habib to anyone looking for an electrician and contact him if I need help in the future.

Safe Electric came by to address an issue we were having with the cabling for one of our satellite dish boxes, which we had been experiencing for a few months, ever since switching from cable service. We had been going back and forth with customer service and tech support for our new satellite dish service, but to no avail. We had almost given up on the service. Luckily, we decided to have Safe Electric inspect the cabling to the box that was giving us trouble.
Habib, the electrician, was methodical about troubleshooting the problem, and took the time to test things out at each step. He eventually resolved the problem, saving us time, money and future headaches dealing with our satellite dish company.
Afterwards, we also had Habib install a new cable outlet, which he accomplished rather quickly. He also fixed a couple electrical outlets and a light switch that hadn't been working properly. He even suggested we switch out some of the light bulbs in our recessed kitchen lighting to more energy-efficient models.
We were happy with the quality of Habib's work, his friendly attitude and work ethic. He also impressed us with the initiative he took to provide us with suggestions on how to save energy throughout our home.
We'd recommend Safe Electric to anyone needing electrical work, and will definitely contact them for future projects & repairs in our home.

Had a black-out living room last Saturday night. Called Safe Electric on Monday morning. The owner was able to show up in 1.5 hour and diagnosed the problems quickly. Besides fixing the breaker and outlet plugs etc., he also replaced a couple of 3-way switches for us. All were done within reasonable time
Our experience with previous electrician wasn't good, but it's so much better with Safe Electric. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Habib is one of the most professional individuals I have met. He has obviously been doing electrical and repair work for many years, but still has enthusiasm and energy like you wouldn't believe.
I needed to replace an old style bathroom exhaust fan with a newer quieter model. I had called around to several electricians in my area, I made an appointment for home depot to come out, and all of them had doubts about being able to replace this fan without a ton of Sheetrock work and a very high hourly rate. Most of them said it would be several weeks before they could see me. Finally I found Safe Electric.
I called on a Wednesday, and Habib said he would try and get there for Friday evening as he had a job close. We ended up having to reschedule for the following Thursday as the other job ran long, but this was still two weeks better than his nearest competitor that would agree to do the job at all.
He showed up as agreed at 8:15 Thursday morning and proceeded to inspect my fans and began work. He was finished with replacing the unit, spackling a few holes I had around the house and fixing a wiring job that I had been wired incorrectly by another electrician. He did all of this for the originally agreed upon price.
He swept and cleaned up everything to better than expected condition. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and offered many suggestions that made a lot of sense. My only downside was that he does not have the ability to accept credit cards at this time. Luckily the bank was close(I was out of checks which he also does accept.).
I look forward to working with him again. Thank you Habib!
