Sonoran Sun Heating and Cooling recently completed a job for us and I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process, including the end results.

I recently reached out to Sonoran Sun Heating and Cooling to see if they'd be interested in giving me a quote to have our deteriorating flex lines replaced in our attic. They contacted me almost immediately and came out to our place just a couple of days later and at the exact time that they said they would. They send you a text alert when they're in route to your place which I appreciated.

I found Gage to be very personable and professional. He checked out our ductwork and confirmed that they should definitely get replaced. However, during his inspection, he also noticed another issue with our system and thoroughly explained it to me in a way that I could easily understand.

He found the design of our original plenum and how the flex lines were attached to it to be subpar. He explained that the original design didn't allow for the airflow to be balanced in our home. Before he could even finish explaining everything, my eyes lit up and I said "YES!"

For years, we've complained that one side of our house (where the bedrooms are located) were always much hotter in the summer and colder in the winter than the other end of our house (where the living room and kitchen were located). Two prior AC companies had told us in the past that our only real option to fix the issue was to install a mini-split system for the bedroom side of our house. Due to the high cost of adding a mini-split system, we just let it be and dealt with the unbalanced room temperatures.

So, for Gage to identify a major problem that we've had for years without me even mentioning it beforehand and a problem that two other AC companies didn't recognize, proved on the spot that he absolutely knows what he's doing. It was an easy choice to have Gage do the job!

Fast forward to a few days later, Gage and Juan were out to redesign the plenum and replace all of the flex line ductwork in our attic. Once again, they were on time, personable and professional. They spent the entire day working in our hot and stuffy 1980's low pitch attic with no catwalk, carefully crawling around in old blown-in insulation. I was worried about the potential for damage to the ceiling of our living space since working in our attic requires balancing on trusses, but they completed the job with zero issues and zero complaints.

Afterwards, I took a peak in the attic and I was blown away by the night and day difference. It was apparent that it was professionally done. The plenum was redesigned and the flex lines were not only all replaced, but strap supported up off the ground and the bends of them were much more gradual as opposed to the old ones. They also installed manual dampers in them to allow us to further balance the temperatures in our home.

Upon testing the system, we noticed an instant difference in air flow! Not only are we getting more air into our home but it's now actually balanced!
