Big shout out to Jon and the Tetra team. I got a fair quote, they did the work and kept me apprised throughout the process and problem solved when we hit a few roadblocks. At the end of the day they did a great job on a difficult project. Best of all?
No upsells or extras and they charged exactly what we agreed to.
Thank you!

When Tetra installed the furnace all the Tetra installers left before turning it on and adjusting the controls as they said no one was familiar with the new thermostat. So we were left to do it with an electrician who spoke no English and did not know what to do. The Tetra furnace has repeatedly faulted out, over heated and now is not providing heat to the temp requested on the thermostat. No one at Tetra appears to understand the Bryant furnace&thermostat and are leaving us as seniors from today Friday through the holiday weekend with only the heat from our electric stove top. They will not provide a date to fix it. Their technique is to argue with the customer on the phone until they give up. We are contacting the BBB & the Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Affairs.
Tetra finally added a moisture trap which is routinely installed in areas of high humidity, as near the ocean, the absence of which lead to rusting out of the 4 month old gas nozzle. So the furnace would not start. Let’s hope it also traps salt.
Three days later the furnace shut down again, and we have waited 4 days since they said ‘We’ll get back to you.’ The furnace overheats as Tetra did not size the furnace to the duct system so has asked us to call another HVAC company and pay them to do the work they should have done before installing this furnace, that is, to measure the air inflow to and outflow from the furnace. Sounds as if they want us to pay for the rebuilding of duct work that has been used successfully for years with all other correctly sized furnaces instead of their replacing their oversized furnace with one sized to our duct work and small 4 room house. It must be nice to be in their warm homes while we seniors shiver with the cold. The other HVAC company said it’s Tetra’s responsibility to do.

Was sold a Gree heat pump system with mini splits for my home a year and a half ago. Before a year was up, the system already was encountering problems. I was promised that the manufacturer was working on making a better replacement part, and that it would be installed when it was released. A year and a half out from installation, not only has said part not materialized, but after another error and $219 in fees from another HVAC company to diagnose the issue, I'm told the MAIN BOARD is bad. I was sold a lemon. And since I'm outside the one-year warranty, I'll have to pay at least another $1200 for the new board. 18 months after installation, and the new system requires serious, expensive repairs. Oh, and this is work being done by a DIFFERENT company, since Tetra told me they couldn't even do paid repairs after the one-year warranty was up. Lousy service, and abysmal product. Do not contract with Tetra.

They were fast, well-digitized, and handover from sales to project manager to support was smooth, too. The actual installation work was outsourced (to HomeWorks), but I had no problems getting everything explained/answered through Tetra. Upon completion and full payment, they did the paperwork for MassSave rebates, and all (from quote to rebate check) was done in 100 days. Highly recommended at least to be included in HVAC contractor search.
