A downspout in our backyard had been bothering us since we moved in the house. It would be like a waterfall even when the rain was not that heavy. Alex redesigned the gutter. He added downspout to provide better balance and replaced some parts. It works much better now and we had no issue with the heavy rain recently.
Alex had helped us with a few projects and repairs. He and his crew are very reliable and pleasant to work with. I would contact them again when I need help. Highly recommended.

I'M HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED!!
That I didn't find Alex earlier and had to have that bad experience with other contractors who was taking deposits and I never saw them anymore. Yes I did that mistakes few times...
When Alex arrived to inspect our roof leak and after we agreed to start the repair as he determined the issue I asked him if he takes any deposits and he started to laugh.. I was a bit shocked and he said that he never takes any deposit from customers if the job is less than $50k and requires a huge amount of materials to be purchased but other than that if contractor doesn't have even $500 to start the job it means that something wrong with such company. And that made such a huge sense to me!! Thanks to Alex we had our roof fixed and drywall repaired and we were paying step by step. Alex and his team did a truly good job! I will definitely us him again and again!

I will be suing Alex and will, possibly, get the police involved, so I'll cut to the chase, might update this later. Alex did some minor job for us by sending his employee or agent - "Anthony" to do it, all went well, no issues. Then we contacted Alex again to provide us with a quote to build us a pergola. Alex gave us a quote and sent the same "Anthony", who did the first job, to take measurements and discuss the details in person. We agreed to build pergola and paid "Anthony" $4,250 to buy materials. After weeks of promises from "Anthony" to deliver the materials and, later, refund us the money, we have no materials, no receipts and no refund.

Alex has sent us someone, who appears to be a known fraudster, who goes by "Anthony" and also by "Brian" interchangeably. Anthony/Brian Anderson is his name, apparently. He has several companies under his name and we found horrific reviews describing similar situation: taking the money and not finishing the job and not refunding the money. Alex washed his hands and said that the contract wasn't his because we paid "Anthony" and not him. You don't pay Jeff Bezos directly when you place your Amazon order, right? You deal with Amazon's employees or agents, who we thought "Anthony" was - Alex's employee or agent. Service providers send their employees/agents to do jobs all the time and often these employees/agents collect payments. Not at any point we've agreed with Alex that we'd pay Alex directly, neither Alex has told us that "Anthony" would assume full responsibility for the contract or that Alex was just a mediator or acted as a referral. It was in Alex's interests to make their relationship abundantly clear and he didn't.

I don't know if Alex and "Anthony" are defrauding people together or "Anthony" is acting solo, but ultimately it is irrelevant to me. I contacted Alex to work on a project. And now I have lost $4,250.

P.S. "Alex" isn't his real name either. This is his company https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_tx/0803591581 listing an entirely different name as the agent and the manager.

The initial communication to lock him down for timing and to do the work was overly painful - but I needed to get some projects done......one such project was to install a 20 foot foyer light - we were very clear about it when requesting the work and of course he shows up and then says he can't do it.
He did install the other light and cabinet we wanted done and no issues with that.....I could and should have gone with a larger more reputable company but thought a small independent would be good, but the hassles to lock it down and not get everything done just isn't worth the struggle

Based on the owner's comment - just want to be clear - the work he did do was fine and no issues - my only concern was about the ability to communicate and schedule as I needed a specific window of time - and tried to lock it down starting 4 weeks in advance - and was never able to lock down the exact time till one day before - that may work for him - just wasn't workable for me or customer focused. The ceiling foyer light was again was the driver for the work from the very start - at not time in advance was anything discussed about scaffolding, 200 lb units etc until he showed up - so again I scheduled a time to get one very specific thing done that I couldn't get done - thankfully another firm was able to do with a regular ladder to accommodate installing it that did not require any heavy machinery or scaffolding. So again, these are the points I had issue with - but the work itself on the other projects were all good so hence the 3 star
