Transforming Electrical Safety in a Houston Home At 3 Guys Electric & Insulation, we pride ourselves on providing reliable and professional electrical services that make a real difference in the safety and efficiency of homes. Recently, we received a call from Emily, who needed help with her 93-year-old father's electrical panels. After receiving a quote from a large company, they were advised to replace both the main and sub panels along with new wiring, an overwhelming and costly recommendation. Emily wanted a second opinion and reached out to us on a Sunday evening. The Before: Concerns and Challenges Emily's family was in a tricky situation. They were unsure whether they actually needed such extensive electrical work, especially after her father's previous experience with a big-name company. The potential for unnecessary expenses was stress-inducing. Emily mentioned that her dad had a preferred customer service contract with that company, yet their suggestions seemed excessive and — frankly — alarming. Our Team Steps In Upon receiving Emily's request for assistance, our team wasted no time. We dispatched one of our skilled technicians early Monday morning, ready to assess the situation firsthand. Our technician arrived promptly and exuded professionalism and courtesy, understanding the urgency of the matter. During the Visit During the inspection, our technician took a thorough look at the connections in the attic. Here’s a brief rundown of our process: 1. Assessment of the Panels: We carefully examined both the main and sub panels to determine their condition. 2. Checking Connections: Our technician not only cleaned and reconnected the necessary wires but also conducted rigorous testing of all connections. 3. Uncovering Issues: Crucially, we discovered that the air conditioning unit had been accidentally disconnected in the attic—a detail that the previous technicians overlooked. 4. Cost-Effective Solution: After our detailed examination, we concluded that only the sub panel needed replacement, which resolved the issue effectively without the unnecessary costs of full panel replacements or new wiring. The After: A Satisfied Customer After completing the work, we felt a great sense of satisfaction knowing we had saved Emily’s family a considerable amount of money while ensuring their home was safe. Emily's appreciation for our approach was clear, as she shared her experience with us: > "Luis was incredibly responsive when I requested a quote on a Sunday evening. He sent one of his technicians out first thing Monday morning. My 93-year-old dad had gotten a quote from a big name company that he has a 'preferred customer service contract' with. Luis's technician was timely, courteous and knew what he was doing. He checked the connections in the attic, cleaned and reconnected them, tested the wires, and assessed our panel and sub panel. He also discovered that the AC was disconnected in the attic by the other company. We only need to replace the sub panel which is saving us so much. I highly recommend this company- they are trustworthy, responsive and reasonably priced. Thank you Luis!" This feedback truly illustrates the values we strive for at 3 Guys Electric & Insulation: trust, responsiveness, and professional service. Conclusion: Why Choose Us?
