American Professional Chimney & Masonary has been our go to business for masonary and chimney projects for many years. David the owner has been helpful when we have clients with fireplace with control and blow systems that are not working. This company has worked on walkways and wall modifications. They even cut a 4' x 4' hold in an 8" poured concrete wall so we could install a new egress window. I can highly recommend this company. I'm updating my review from a few days ago. Let me start by saying sorry to American professional chimney. Emphasis on professional. I used American professional chimney in 2022 and they did phenomenal work. I was very comfortable reaching out to them again to provide recent service in 2024. Through Google I contacted American chimney notice, The title doesn't contain the word professional. It is very important to note this. Both companies with similar names have locations within 5 minutes of each other in Silver Spring. When you contact American chimney, they will try to impersonate American professional chimney. Make sure you note the difference. American professional chimney is a very reputable company. They have professional employees in with marked trucks containing company logo and decals. American chimney sends out one guy in his personal vehicle. Speak poor English and communicate via text. They'll tell you that they worked for you before and even pretend that they have two locations, one in Silver Spring and one in Hyattsville. Their hope and goal is to steal away business from American professional chimney. Just make sure you note the difference in the name... If you want a professional to handle your chimney services, contact American professional chimney. You can even ask to speak to Stefan who will take care of you. Whatever you do don't call American chimney because you'll be sorry you did.

Great job again. Two recent projects are completed. A restoration of the exterior stone on chimney and installed new stove and liner. I have been using American Professional for years cleaning my liners. I also appreciate Victor, he is responsive and very easy to work with. Dan

They came out and did an inspection in 2022, which was fine, nothing to write home about. Ever since, I get monthly CRM emails from them asking me to review them online. I thought the emails would logically stop coming at some point. Eighteen months of this, I unsubscribed from the relentless emails from American Professional Chimney & Masonry Service. I still received them. I reported as spam, and I still received them. I used this service once and for two years, have been pestered by them. I went from an agnostic former customer to one that is pretty annoyed by the business' behavior to recruit online reviews.

Fast, and great work. They rebuilt the inside and top of my chimney and converted it to gas. I'd definitely use them again.

Called this company in April 2024 about a problem with water leaking into my home. Making the appointment was easy and quick, and the guys came out on time. After a brief survey of the interior, they then got up on my 2 story roof and surveyed my chimney. They quoted me a repair price that was thousands less than another company in my area. They came back out within a week, reset (10) courses of brick on my chimney, put on a new crown on and a stainless steel chimney cap. I am extremely pleased with the work, and would recommend them to anyone needing brick or chimney repair. Steve H. Fulton, MD
