We are so glad that we went with Bay Area Turf. We let our lawn die due to the drought and our backyard became a sandy, dusty, area taken over by weeds and gophers. It was awful. Matt was SO amazingly responsive and worked hard to meet my tight timeline for install! On top of that his crew was great, hard working, and got the job done. They put down their layers of base rock on top of layers of gopher wire and weed fabric. They also spent a good amount of time carefully cutting around all the rock formations we have; we really appreciate the extra attention to detail.Extra credit goes to Matt for repairing the edge of our flagstone that became a casualty of the turf install. The lawn looks and feels soooo good! We'd highly recommend Matt and his crew.

These guys cancelled on my appointment. Actually, they would have never even showed up had I not called to re-confirm the appointment an hour before. Waste of my damn time. Go elsewhere.

I inquired about a consult/estimate and Matthew got back to me immediately and we set up an appointment for him to come out to San Francisco and assess the space within just a couple days.

During the consult he was very transparent about what the project would entail (we have a very challenging space since we live in San Francisco and our backyard is not easily accessible).

He got back to me just hours later with a very fair estimate (I had 3 other companies come out beforehand). After agreeing to the proposal the contract was written and signed! The turnaround time for all the agreement and contract work was less than 5 minutes since it facilitated electronically via email.

The very next week they came out and finished a day early. Rain was in the forecast for the 3rd day of the project so they really kicked it into overdrive and hustled without compromising the quality of the final outcome! To say we were impressed is an understatement.

Have a small 260 sq ft side yard that is home to garbage/recycling cans and Air Conditioning Unit. The only access to this side lot is through garage or outside. I knew it would not get as much use until we have kids and wanted something low maintenance.

The thought of turf was on my mind and I had priced it out to do it myself. However without the time I didn't mind paying a bit more to have someone do it for me. I got a couple of quotes from some of the top turf companies in the area and Bay Area Turf came in at the most competitive pricing.

Great web delivery of the quote within 24 hours and an easy way to accept proposal and pay the 10% down payment all online simple and easy. Matthew was super easy to communicate with through email and with a 1-2 weeks his team came out and completed the work within 4 hours.

I ended up getting about 208 sq ft of the S Blade 90 Turf and 72 sq ft of base rock area where the garbage cans will go.

The work was done perfectly. The grass looks amazing and I'm happy I have chosen an environmentally friendly design that won't be affected by drought and have an area for our future kids to play and be safe.

While I knew that artificial turf was the only way that my daughter was going to be able to use our back yard due to the drought, I was very nervous about picking a company to install our turf. WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.

We have two dogs who love to kick up and roll in dirt, and a lousy rain gutter/drainage system in our backyard. This meant mud was getting tracked into our home daily, and weeds were continuously shooting up along our foundation and fence line. We had enough.

I interviewed six turf installers over a one month period before going with Bay Area Turf. We could not be happier with the results. Matt set up a quick appointment (he has an automated appointment-reminder system which sent me text messages so I knew when to meet him), reviewed the available design options, and told me he'd get back to me with a quote. The appointment was quick, tailored to our specific needs, and NOT a pressured sales pitch that some installers push.

When I told him I'd need to run it by my wife, he gave me a sample of his most popular turf (S-Blade 90) and asked me to get her opinion on the turf. We had seen some good pet-friendly turf, but this was by far and away the best one yet. This, along with the best quote we had received, sealed the deal for us.

Since our yard is small, he squeezed us in quickly. His crew showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up afterwards. I had no trouble communicating with them, so everything was done exactly as we wanted. Work was done in just over a day. We had a tiny post-install request which Matt was able to accommodate a day later.

In addition to the turf, we also had Matt's team install a french drain to repair our drainage system. We now can keep the drain field clear, and are confident that our weed problem will not return.
