Capitol Paint Pros is the best in the business…there’s no question about it.
Quick Disclaimer: Despite relying heavily on reviews, I never write them. I may have once or twice before, but only to spare others from an otherwise unspeakably bad vendor. Other than that, nada.
While this is unfamiliar territory for me, it would be a real shame/disservice if I did not share the exceptional experience I had with Capitol Paint Pros (Chris and Jason).
We bought a new house and it desperately needed a full downstairs remodel – basically, a gutting of the first floor, which included demoing walls, moving electrical, laying rebar and pouring a 6-inch high, 400 sq ft slab of concrete to fill in a sunken living room. From there we had to install ceiling beams, sand and paint cabinets, baseboards, walls and stairways, install shelving, under cabinet lighting and a new backsplash. It was a massive undertaking, to say the least.
We interviewed and solicited proposals from half a dozen vendors. Every contractor we consulted said it would take no less than 4 weeks and tens of thousands of dollars to complete. No surprises there. But Capitol Paint Pros stood out by a wide margin – they had a stellar reputation, impressive body of work, huge breadth of expertise and treated the process like consummate professionals. They were always on-time, collaborative, smart and thorough…plus, they pumped the most value into their bid.
From day 1, their crew (about 15 people) worked thoughtfully, meticulously, and at warp speed. The entire demo was finished in 6 hours, concrete was poured the following morning. Floors were installed within 5 days and painting began the day after that. It was mind-bogglingly fast. And the quality of work was second to none.
We gave Capitol Paint Pros the near impossible deadline of 3 weeks to finish the entire remodel, expecting it to take at least a month. They completed everything (literally, the entire scope of work) in 15 days – about a week ahead of schedule. As a result, we were able to move into our new home early and focus squarely on securing a lease for our former residence. But best of all, the job came in on budget with zero issues and the quality of work was practically perfect. We’ve since become annoying evangelists for the company, referring Capitol Paint Pros to everyone we know (something we’ve never done with any business before).
At the end of the day, my wife and I are tough clients – we have absurdly high expectations and always want the best job done, no matter what it takes. And without exception, Capitol Paint Pros executed near flawlessly, including a few key standouts that really made the difference:

6. Fair and trustworthy to a fault – a couple times they accidentally did things outside our SOW; rather than nickel and dime us or even bring it up, they ate the cost without a peep
7. Their crew was always super polite, respectful and took exceptional care of our home
