At my house in SF, my downstairs was cold and I wanted to move to a heating system that would reduce my fossil fuel consumption. HVAC systems can be a big purchase, and I found Velasco's to be a trustworthy and skillful partner. I'm 100% satisfied and I'm already planning to use them again for another project. In the planning stage of my project, before I had selected a contractor, Angel was generous with his time. When he visited my home to write an estimate, he demonstrated excellent listening and problem solving skills. He patiently chatted with me to understand the problems and whole system before proposing any solutions, and he took my requirements vs preferences into balanced consideration. I appreciated that he would pause and think things through as needed, to make sure he always understood what I was asking about/for. He proposed a Mitsubishi mini-split inverter heat pump, which is a small but high performance unit that qualifies for a $2000 federal tax credit. I had talked to multiple contractors, and Velasco's bid was price-competitive while still using top-of-the-line equipment that he had experience with. (Angel also informally thought through how we could revamp the upstairs heating later on, with zero sales pressure.) When it came time to schedule the work, Angel communicated proactively. He kept me apprised of supply chain issues and adapted the work to get it done promptly even though he had to spread it out over two days due to last minute equipment issues. (When he went to purchase the equipment, he saw some surface damage to the outdoor unit and opted to wait for a new one to arrive.) When he worked in my house, Angel was friendly and considerate of my space (and the kids and pup within it). Before doing any drilling/cutting/attaching, he reviewed all his cosmetic choices with me for how any pipes/hoses would get routed. Angel cares about aesthetics in addition to functionality, so the end result looked excellent. At the end of the installation, he guided me through how to operate my new system, and how I can maintain it on my own at zero expense (though I can always text him with questions). It's been a couple months since the install, and my equipment is working great. I finally have the cozy downstairs I wanted, with quiet, efficient, and clean heating. I look forward to working with Velasco's again for my upstairs project.

We have central heat again! This has been a long process for us, but after speaking with several other installers, I'm so glad we chose Velasco's for the project. Angel was incredible. In every step of the process, Angel was professional, on time, and explained all the various options thoroughly, and answered my numerous questions. His quote was very reasonable, and he gave a very detailed quote on the work that would be done. I didn't see that from every installer that gave me a quote. We didn't have venting going to our top floor, and he found an efficient way to do that as well at a reasonable cost. I really appreciated that he was also willing to work with me as I picked out the heat pump system to purchase online. There wasn't pressure to purchase a certain brand, or particular unit through him - which all the others did. I was able to give him the specs of what I was looking for, and share links to the various units I had in mind, and he helped me select one that worked for my family. Angel is very smart and hardworking, and was able to figure out the install even though it was a unit that he was not familiar with. Once the heat pump system was delivered, we were able to schedule a date for install, and he knocked it out on time with no issues. It was a true pleasure to work with him. He's honest, hardworking, and respectful of your space. They did a great job of keeping the work area clean, and communicated well through the entire process.

Angel was fantastic! I had an old wall heater go out in one of my units. He came on short notice and tried to fix the issue with parts he had on hand. After a couple hours it was clear the 25 year old heater just needed to be replaced. He gave me a more than fair price, scheduled me for the following week, and had my new heater installed and running in a couple hours! I will definitely be using him for all services moving forward. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I'm a landlord and one of our tenants recently had all three of their wall heaters stop working properly. I found Velasco's Heating & Air on Yelp and they had very good ratings, so I decided to use them. Angel made an appointment with the tenants and confirmed that the heaters we no longer working properly. He ordered new ones and, when the tenant wasn't easily available to schedule an appointment for their replacement, Angel even worked on New Year's Day to get the work done. He used floor coverings to keep the carpets clean and sent me pictures of the job. I was very happy with Angel's responsiveness and would use Velasco's Heating and Air Conditioning again.

Great value, prompt, on time, great communication. I am a rental property owner and worked with Angel Velasco to diagnose a troublesome wall mounted gravity furnace. It was likely going to need a replacement. He was able to fix the issue and charged me a reasonable amount for the repair. I nonetheless decided that the furnace should be replaced and he installed it efficiently. He worked well with my tenants and checked in with me when I needed to be consulted. will not hesitate to work with him again.
