Transforming Closets with Custom Shelving
Transforming Closets with Custom Shelving
When our team at VELDENS LLC was approached by Dev S., he had a unique challenge on his handsāa closet with an irregular trapezoid shape that needed a custom shelving solution. Dev wanted to maximize the functionality of this tight space, but he was unsure how to achieve his vision. He reached out to us, hoping for a reliable and professional service to help bring his ideas to life.
The Challenge: An Irregular Space
Before we started, Dev shared his concerns about his closet. With its awkward shape, he envisioned three shelves, but the thought of using 1/4ā plywood felt risky in terms of strength and durability. We listened to his needs and understood the importance of creating a solid and functional space that could withstand daily use.
Our Solution: Custom Design and Quick Execution
Our skilled team took a tailored approach to this project. We assessed the space and created a plan that we believed would not only meet but exceed Dev's expectations. Hereās how we transformed the closet:
1. Customized Materials: We chose stronger materials to ensure the shelves would support the weight Dev intended to store. Adjusting our design, we decided to double up the plywood to enhance strength.
2. Internal Framing: To further fortify the shelves, we added internal framing. This technique not only contributed to the durability but also helped the shelves maintain their shape, despite the closet's irregularities.
3. Speedy Installation: We pride ourselves on our efficiency without compromising quality. This project was completed in under three hours, showcasing our teamās dedication to punctuality and seamless execution.
The Result: A Functional and Beautiful Space
The transformation was remarkable! The custom shelving not only utilized the closetās unique shape but also enhanced its functionality. Dev expressed his excitement about the solution we provided:
> āDenys was great to work with. He was very responsive, communicative, and punctual. He installed custom shelving for us in a closet with an irregular shape (trapezoid). The end result is good, and I appreciate the extra effort to shape the shelves to match the closet. We would have liked to get one more shelf in, but this gives us a great and much more functional closet.ā
Though there was room for one more shelf, Dev was thrilled with the overall improvement. The extra effort we put into the project ensured that he walked away with a highly functional closet tailored to meet his needs.

Transforming Spaces with Drywall Magic
At VELDENS LLC, we understand the unique challenges homeowners face when it comes to interior improvementsāespecially in dry and textured wall installations. Recently, we received a call from a homeowner in Lynnwood looking for an update to their living space, specifically through drywall installation. Our team was eager to assist!
Before: The Challenges We Encountered
When we first reviewed the home, the existing walls had seen better days. There were noticeable wear and tear, including some water damage and an outdated texture that dullened the overall aesthetic. The homeowner, Patricia H., expressed dissatisfaction with the wall's appearance and was eager for a fresh, inviting look.
Patricia mentioned her initial frustration, stating she had recently received service quotes that felt inflated and werenāt reflective of the quality she expected. Our team knew that we could deliver not only a solution to her wall problems but also a fair pricing structure.
The Transformation Process
After discussing her needs, we developed a detailed plan that included:
1. Wall Removal and Preparation: We started by carefully removing the damaged sections of drywall to ensure a clean slate.
2. New Drywall Installation: Our skilled professionals installed moisture-proof drywall to better withstand future challenges and provide a longer-lasting solution.
3. Texturing and Finishing: Utilizing advanced techniques, we applied a refined textured finish that enhanced the walls' visual appeal.
4. Quality Inspection: Once the work was completed, we conducted a thorough quality check, ensuring every detail met our high standards.
During the project, we maintained open lines of communication with Patricia to ensure everything aligned with her expectations.
After: A Stunning Result!
Once our job was completed, the transformation was remarkable. Patricia was delighted with her refreshed walls, which now exuded modern elegance and an inviting atmosphere. The moisture-proof drywall allowed her peace of mind, knowing that her home was better protected against potential water damage.
> āWhen the job was completed, the worker aggressively insisted I make a 5-star review on Thumbtack... I led him outside and then walked back in and had to close the door while he was still asking for a 5-star review.ā - Patricia H.
Her experience highlights plans for improvement in communication regarding our review processes, ultimately leading us to ensure future interactions are more straightforward and less pressured.
Conclusion: Your Partner in Home Improvement
At VELDENS LLC, we take pride in our work and aim to provide high-quality services that truly enhance our customers' homes. Despite the challenges we faced, our commitment to excellence shone through, resulting in a transformed space that met Patricia's needs.
