Veteran Built Homes was recommended to me by an acquaintance who had a lot of work done on an old house. Working with the estimator (who did not try to upsell), we came up with a project consisting of deck rebuilt, replacing damaged wood floor in a half bath with tiles, and bathroom fixtures update.

There was a formal contract in place, and a solid project management plan. After ripping out the old deck they found some rotting wood, so they did a formal change request for me to approve the new scope. The deck project was slow to start mostly because of the arcane approval process. They adjusted the schedule to start the inside work first.

The half bath was finished beautifully. They did not cut corners and worked with my budget and requirement. They even painted the wall behind the toilet. A plumber installed the new faucets and shower heads and even replaced the old waterlines for the sinks. Both of these jobs were done with attention to detail.

When the deck permits finally came, they were ready to build. The project manager himself came over on a weekend to carry the demolished deck in his truck when the planned dumpster fell through. The two guys that built the deck were at my backyard, rain or shine, on schedule, and worked until the deck passed inspections. The new deck is solidly constructed. We did a quick walk through and found a few things that needed to be fixed. The deck guys fixed everything I found -- and everything they found on their own.

Throughout the entire project, the workers were respectful of my house, keeping everything inside and outside as neat as possible and always cleaned up after themselves.

After the big project was finished, I used their handyman service. My handyman arrived on time, diagnosed the tasks thoroughly, paid attention to details, was mindful of my budget, worked efficiently, and cleaned up afterwards. The quality of work was superb. He took care of some of my most daunting -- and thus most delayed -- home repairs!

I cannot say enough positive things about Veteran Built Homes, the entire operation is top notch and I whole-heartedly recommend them for your next project! My first interaction with Mark was super positive! He came at 11:00 am to view my kitchen, take measurements, etc. I had an estimate in my inbox by 2:30 pm that same day! Unheard of! Once the contract was signed I continued interacting with Matt, he could not be more delightful to work with! He was incredibly communicative, informing me of what to expect every step of the way. While my project was active we had almost daily communication. Micky and Oscar were the team who performed the majority of the work. They were punctual, respectful, highly skilled, and possess a high attention to detail. The best part is I LOVE every aspect of my new kitchen!! I’ve been enjoying it for over two months, there is not one thing I’m dissatisfied with! I already can’t wait to start my next project with Veteran Built Homes!

Matt, Mickey, Oscar and his team did a phenomenal job renovating my laundry room! They showed up on time everyday - even on Saturdays. I had several add-ons and tweaks along the way and they executed them with professionalism and expertise. I am beyond delighted with their work. There were no surprises - Matt let me know how much it cost up front apart from the things I added on later. Gabriel also did a wonderful job with my marble backsplash.. They have really set the bar high when it comes to hiring contractors for my home. Their prices were also reasonable. You will not go wrong if you hire them for your next project. Posted by D. Kerr.

We had a wall that a contractor said it was not possible to remove completely and we needed to leave a little bit of wall on the sides but when we brought Veteran Built Homes they assessed the situation by having an engineer go into our attic and look into the houses structure and made the recommendations on what to do and what beam to use so we could have the wall removed completely. We are very happy with their work and helping us resolve this issue!

I wanted to update my review to say that today 12/09, Cuco came in to install a ceiling fan on our basement and he did an amazing job! He was very professional and cleaned afterwards, it looked like nothing had happened due to such a professional and clean job. Extremely happy with this service provided!
