The insulation in our house was pretty pathetic. We had old blown in insulation which wasn't even the height of the joists and in many cases, void completely. On cold nights, we would get condensation in the master bedroom where there were voids in the insulation.

We had been looking to replace the insulation back in 2016 and had a few companies come out but we couldn't make it at that time. Four years later we were looking to finally do it and contacted Pro Attic Restoration through Yelp. 12 minutes later they had me scheduled for an inspection the next day.

After a quick crawl through the attic I was given a quote for removing the old insulation, installing new stuff as well as installing a whole house fan and attic fan to help on the hot days. Prices were extremely reasonable, on par with what I had been quoted from the other companies four years ago.

When I asked about their lead times, I was told that they would normally have the day off the next day but could try to make that work. That was a lot sooner than I was ready so we scheduled it for a week out.

On the day of the install, they told me they would arrive between 8 and 9. I walked past the front window at 7:15 to see their truck parked across the street, patiently waiting. I let them know that they didn't have to wait so they got started earlier. Within minutes, they had the hallway taped off and the vacuums sucking out the old insulation.

It took a crew of four, eleven hours to get all the work done. They are extremely thorough. My attic space is fairly difficult to work in as there are several some shallow areas where there is not much space to move around. I also have funky electrical so connecting the fans was not straight forward. Somehow they got everything done.

I am glad that we got this done and glad that we worked with Pro Attic Restoration. They do a very professional job at very reasonably prices. I would absolutely use them again for any attic and HVAC needs.

This is a review long overdue for an attic restoration project in May 2019 as part of our full house remodeling. David and team did a fantastic job in three visits to completely clean and disinfected the attic, sealed all gaps, reapplied insulation, installed plywood for walking and storage, and installed a solar powered ventilation fan. The work was done with high quality, attention to detail and in a professional manner. Highly recommend David and his team.

We bought a new home 5 years ago, but when I say new, I mean, new to us- the house itself is very old! And the insulation and heater showed their age as my house was cold and drafty.

After recovering from the price of buying the house and moving in, I was finally ready to do something about the chill that I couldn't get to leave the house (without running my old heater at 80, that is!). I spent a ton of time researching companies online, and contacting the best ones. I knew that I wanted a new heater, new vents, new attic insulation, new attic fan, and new wall insulation. I also knew I probably couldn't afford all of that at once.

Of all the companies I talked to, Pro Attic and David were the most responsive, one of the most knowledgeable, able to do the most amount of work. And also for the best price! Seemed like a no brainer.

I ended up getting a new attic fan, new heater, new vents and duct work, and new wall insulation. Their specialty is attic insulation, but when David and I talked, we decided this would be the best way to start, since my attic was in decent shape. I intend to get the attic insulation done when I can!

I must say, having a bought an old house, I've used quite a few contractors, and while they've been good, they're good with the understanding that they're contractors. Contractors are often late, often take forever to return calls, often can't finish the job on time... BUT NOT DAVID!!

I can't emphasize how impressed I was with him and his team. They were scheduled to show up at 8:30 AM. I would not have been surprised if I didn't see anyone until 9:30. But no. They were parked in front of my house by 8:20 each day, and knocking on my door at 8:30:00 (or so it seemed, my sense of time isn't quite that accurate!). They said they would need no more than 3 days to get it done. I scheduled for the entire 5 day week. THEY WERE DONE IN TWO!! Who's ever heard of a contractor getting done ahead of time?? Not to mention, they worked hard all day.

They did a great job taking care of my house. They put drop cloths down, and cleaned up when they were done. Not only were there no problems that I found with their work, they actually improved my house, free of charge! My side fence is leaning, so the gate hits my house, and has chipped away the stucco. When they were patching the holes for the insulation (something other companies wouldn't even do!), they patched the hole from my gate! They put the heater in my crawlspace, as requested, and the door to get under the crawlspace was rusted and really hard to open and close- they replaced it! When they took out my old heater, it left the closet it was in, and they enclosed it so instead of a big hole like it used to be, it's a useable closet. I've turned it in to a new linen closet! All these things were not in the work order. I was so happy! A few of the extra things that cost them money (like a new door), they did charge me for, with my approval, and at a great price. I couldn't have done it better myself.

They did this work for me in January, and it's now March 1, so it's been about 1 1/2 months since I've had the new heater and all. I am so happy with it! My house is much warmer, with all the cold spots gone. It's not perfect, but that's the house, not the work David did. I can't say anything about the attic fan, because it's not been hot enough to put it to the test, but I can say that on hot days, it does come on, and the attic is much cooler.

And because all reviews should include at least one area that could be improved, here is one thing I wish they did differently. We booked January about a month ahead of time, and after confirmation, I didn't hear anything from them until the day before. Which is great that I heard from them confirming that they would be here the next day. I just would have liked more than 24 hours reminder, is all. If I had forgotten or something, it could have been helpful to have heard a few days before. It's not a big deal, and I haven't even mentioned this to David or anyone, but that is about the only thing that I can think of to improve, so not bad!

Right before thanksgiving day last year when we tried to turn on AC heater for the time in winter, we saw the pink duct material blown out of vent into the rooms inside my house. We contacted many restoration companies in Bay Area, not only Pro Attic Restoration responded right away, they literally showed up on Thanksgiving day and get the job done in very professional way. Luis and his team, mostly his family members, are friendly and responsive. We had great experience and highly recommend them.

We paid for maintenance service for Luis to follow up on the crawlspace and attics work they did for us. So far our vent system has no issue and I will post review on their maintenance work to provide my complete feedback.

Pro Attic replaced all of our duct work. David and his team were professional and efficient. David identified how to improve our home's heat efficiency without trying to upsell a new furnace. During the work they kept our house clean by taping down paper to cover our floors and plastic on furniture. Lots of our duct is under the house in the crawl space so it is dusty, but they quickly removed the old duct and installed all new in one day. Not only did they do great work, but they were also the best bang for our buck. I am very pleased we found David and his crew!

I rarely leave reviews but in the case of Pro Attic Restoration, they were amazing! I used Pro Attic Restoration to clean-up some recent major rodent damage to my crawl space under the house. Eduardo provided an extensive estimate that covered repairing the rodent damage to my furnace, the installation and the heater duct work. They sealed the entire crawl space against any future rodents. They replaced several furnace ducts and applied sealer to all the duct work. They recommended we add 6 inch R-19 Knauf insulation between the framing of the crawl space and the floor and then covered the entire insulation with bubble wrap. They insulated all the walls with 3 inch rigid board insulation. These two ideas have made our home 10 degrees warmer! In addition, they provided a quote for a 15 mil vapor barrier encapsulation. We were experiencing weird odors and dampness under our home. The vapor barrier has solved the problem. Luis and his team went above and beyond my expectations.
