I contacted 4 different companies-- American Pros were the most reasonable and as it turned out, the most professional. If you are looking for any kind of Chimney Services, just call one and done-- all the others were trying to milk the job for whatever they could get. The Estimator Mike was excellent at explaining what was involved, and the owner Dave was the picture of excellence in terms of providing excellent customer service. I encounter numerous Service businesses with employees who feel they are God's gift to the universe and they "know what they know", and you as their customer are like dirt under their feet-- they don't hear a word word you say, and are only after your money and getting you out of their hair. Dave and American Pro are the exact opposite-- the perfect gentlemanly customer servants from every aspect of the business!! Seriously, you can't go wrong with these guys!!!

Five is simply not enough stars to give Dave Myers and his company, American Professional Chimney and Masonry. Over the past 7 years they have done a great deal of work on our house and we have come to greatly respect and appreciate the quality of their work, their integrity, and their attention to customer service. To be more specific, our house is an 1896 Queen Anne Victorian with a very tall central chimney for the fireplace flue and furnace flue. The work that Dave has done for us has included chimney cleaning, damper repair, stainless steel flue liner installation for the furnace flue, and chimney rain caps for both flues. After we had a chimney fire in the fireplace flue, he performed a camera video inspection of the entire interior surface of the flue to assess the damage, which revealed cracked ceramic tiles. Based on his recommendation and my own research, we then had him install "HeatShield", an innovative solution that repairs and restores both the flue and fireplace smoke chamber, making them safe for use. We were extremely happy with his expert advice and skillful installation of this product. As a historic preservationist I am very sensitive about work being done on our historic site. Dave Myers is equally sensitive and is a perfectionist in his craft. He is foremost extremely honest, professional, hard-working, knowledgeable, intelligent, and dedicated to giving satisfaction to his clients. Additionally he is very easy to work with and just an all-around nice person. We highly recommend him for all applications of chimney work for both historic and modern houses.

American Professional Chimney laid some flagstone pavers at the main entrance to our building, they did a great job in a timely manner. Steve came back the next day to clean the surface of the flagstone and noticed that one of the stones had been laid in a little crooked and had a raised edge, Steve took the time to remove that stone and lay in another stone that fit better without the raised edge. The professionalism and craftsmanship was defiantly above average.

Stefan arrived on site within the hour of me calling their main office. He was all professionalism, urgency, and was able to give me a series of clear expectations regarding the work required going forward. We needed to have a new exhaust pipe installed and I watched Stefan build me a quote on the spot, then convert it to a PDF, email it to me all before he left the property! On the day of installation, his crew was friendly and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. A two day job was finished in one day, due to extra staff and heat was restored for my tenants. Highly recommend!

Stefan, Victor and Joshua from American Professional Chimney were EXCELLENT at performing two separate projects for us at our nearly 100 year old townhouse in Washington, DC. The first was the installation of a chimney liner to connect our HVAC system to the chimney so that the fumes can vent outside to the roof. The second was for chimney cleaning and removal of dead squirrels that somehow snuck inside. They installed a cap on our chimney so that this will not happen again. I highly recommend American Professional Chimney!
