Neil and his team did a great job putting an old fireplace back to work by building into the existing Victorian masonry a new safe firebox according to buildings regulations. They also installed a new flue liner and rebuilt the chimney stack above the roof. Dave fine-tuned the wood burning chimney to make sure it has sufficient draft to operate it safely. A second flue liner was required for the second chimney stack which is used for the exhaust of the boiler and gas heating system and waived the costs when circumstances required removing a kitchen cabinet to open the chimney stack and pull through the flue liner. The team also corrected a faulty duct of the boiler exhaust leading into the chimney stack. All in all excellent work of a professional team.

This is actually my second encounter with American Professional Chimney. They replaced my chase cover about 3 years ago for another house of mine. Their professionalism and attention to detail lead me to seek their service this time. My parents' chimney needed to have the liner replaced. Stefan came on time. He gave a very sincere recommendation with all the options. I also asked him about the masonry around the house and property. He was very frank about what is needed and what is not. No sales pitch pushing. The chimney work was done as promised. The work crew were very professional and neat. They made sure that there is no damage to the lawn and patio and covered the family room hardwood floor to prevent damage. I will definitely hire American Professional Chimney & Masonry again for other masonry.

We recently had our chimney repaired to fix loose mortar joints, replace crumbled bricks and seal the chimney, and repair and seal the crown. We are very pleased with the quality of the work performed--particularly the new mortar joints and and the dozen or so replaced bricks. The masonary repairs blend in perfectly with the chimney and are all but invisible. We were also pleased with the quality of the inspection. The inspector was was certified and very thorough and competent. He identified several code violations in one of our flus that resulted from an incorrect/incomplete installation of a new water heater. Our water heater installer confirmed and corrected the problems but they would have gone undetected (and been dangerous) if left unidentified. More generally, the need for the proposed repairs were well documented and complete and the price for the work was competitive. We highly recommend this company.

They were great. I wanted to convert my gas fireplace into a wood burning one (which I know is unusual!) and got several estimates. They were all about the same amount, but American Professional Chimney was able to identify why the fireplace had been converted to gas in the first place (the mouth of the fireplace was too big for the flue, which caused smoke to pour out, leaving some smoke damage on the brick above). They relined the chimney, did some masonry work on the fireplace, and added a smoke guard. It works perfectly and no smoke has come out at all. They were communicative and easy to work with. They did a great job.

I scheduled an appointment with American Professional Chimney & Masonry and took off work to meet them. They day they were suppose to come out to my house for the appointment they called me and wanted to change the date but I TOOK OFF OF WORK that day and they asked me for another day but I was Very Upset. I will not use them ever!!!!! Not professional!!!

We recently converted our wood burning fireplace to gas, including relining our chimney. Stefan and American Professional Chimney did a terrific job and were top notch from beginning to end. During the initial visit, Stefan provided an estimate for a variety of options, explaining them all in very helpful detail. His many years of experience in the business was clear and the information he provided extremely appreciated. APC gave us a very fair price to reline our Chimney and install a vented gas log set (gas line not included, as we needed to work with a plumber and the gas company to make that happen). APC was incredibly flexible and worked around our schedule as much as possible. Stefan and the other workers were professional throughout the whole process. They were incredibly courteous, efficient, and clean - they spent over an hour tarping and taping up our living room so that it would not get dirty during the process. Stefan also answered countless questions as we worked between the plumber, the gas company, and the county inspectors to install the gas line and finish the fireplace installation (a multi-week process due to the gas company's schedule). Following the installation, Stefan proactively followed up to ensure our satisfaction and made two follow-up visits to adjust the log arrangement to prevent sooting. We could not be more satisfied and impressed with the professionalism and level of service from American Professional Chimney. Highly recommend!
