I really wanted to give 301 Chimney a try. They came out last fall (2018), checked our chimneys and said they'd follow up with a proposal by the next week. They seemed like a professional group, but, never followed up with a quote. NEVER - after three phone calls last fall to inquire about a proposal, each time they said someone would call me in a few days. No one ever did. Kind of crazy! I was interested in lining 2-3 chimneys.

*I never had work done by them* I gave them a 3 because I reached out to them several times to try and schedule an estimate and never received a return phone call. I called a couple of weeks ago and they took my number and said a mason would call back. A few days later I submitted a Yelp project request and the owner messaged me. I responded that I never heard back from his people. He said they'd call me. I followed up the next Tuesday with him and was told the same thing but never heard back from them.

These guys did a great job, were truly professional from start to finish. They worked on 3 chimneys for us -- gas, Wood & hot water heater. They lined & insulated the chimneys, re-pointed, repaired crown, power washed & installed rain caps & animal screens. They also came out to make some adjustments after we had our Pepco energy audit, to reduce drafts. The Pepco contractor commented that the hot water vent work was really well done, so if you need work to get your hot water chimney up to code, give them a call. The work wasn't cheap, but it was reasonable for the quality work they did. Highly recommended!

I am extremely pleased with this company. First, they responded quickly to my request for an inspection of my chimney. Once on site, they explained the inspection process. After the inspection, they showed me photos of my condition, problems revealed and plan and cost to repair. When they returned to repair, they took great care to keep my home clean and free of dust and dirt, covering furniture. They were professional, working (not playing around) and informing me of the progress. You will not be sorry if you use this company.

I have been trying repeatedly to get someone to come and estimate the needed repairs for an emergent situation involving my elderly mothers front porch and concrete issues which cause her to feel trapped in her own home. After getting nowhere with missed appointment no shows for almost a solid month, I took the liberty to try to give detailed input on what the job requires to help fast track the situation. The owner always says that my inquiry will be followed up with to no avail. I even noted to the owner that looking over the reviews, I was aware that sometimes jobs did slip through the cracks as I attempted to be proactive and helpful in the matter for over a solid month. If I could give no stars after the performance I would. The owner has always been prompt and courteous but I am not sure about the teams efforts overall especially after several reviews stated these exact issues where actively being looked into in order to prevent future occurrences. I can't recommend a company that does not value its customers. The company I work for is absolutely customer obsessed and the rapid growth shows this is extremely important.

I've contracted American Professional Chimney and Masonry to clean and repair multiple chimneys and fireplaces over more than 10 years. Every experience has been positive. Dave and his team do exceptional work and stand behind it. Catherine and the office team are very responsive and helpful. They take pride in doing things right and make it easy to work with them.
