I just had the best home service experience I have had over the past several years. David, the owner, responded to my posting on Yelp where I noted I had a small job to do, and he asked me to call with more details--unlike some other responses that said to call the office, and another company my landlord had contacted who had booked me for a month out at a minimum charge of $175 just to come to the house. David said he'd work me in as his scheduled allowed--and made it here within a day; that timing might have been lucky for me, but he still had to pick up the phone to call me and make the extra effort to fit me in. The problem was with a gas fireplace insert not lighting (which has not been the primary focus of his business), but he made time to come, quickly fixed the problem with the controls, and then made me work the controls several times so that I would know how to fix it the next time around. It was a quick visit, and a nominal charge, but I can't imagine doing business with anyone except him in the future. Great service, treating even a "small" job with attention to detail and care. A fine example of an owner who cares about his business as well as his customers.

When looking for a chimney company, American Professional Chimney & Masonry is about as good as it gets. Owner Dave is an expert; I once sat in a courtroom where Dave was called in as an expert witness. And Dave is extremely knowledgeable about many different areas of home repair as well. More than once he has given me good advice about other issues around the house. All that expertise and his prices are still very reasonable. It's amazing. I trust American Professional. I've always felt Dave was being totally honest with me. He has correctly diagnosed my chimney problems on two occasions, once employing a very creative solution. Nobody cleans my chimney but American Professional, ever, period!

David did a very thorough job of evaluating and fixing my gas fireplace. He patiently showed me how it works and took time to evaluate the system for safety and function. He was very responsive to my call and came to the house almost immediately. He was much less expensive than other professionals I called.
