So happy with our chimney repair! They came quickly, gave a competitive estimate, and followed up by bringing many brick samples. The match was almost identical to the original bricks. They addressed any concerns we had immediately. Will have them put in our gas insert in the fall. So glad to have found them. You can use them with confidence.

Stefan was knowledgeable in diagnosing the problem causing the fireplace surround and mantel to slide forward. He was patient explaining the problem and what was needed to remediate the problem. He did not attempt to offer other repairs that other contractors said were needed. The price was reasonable.

The work was done by Dave Meyers, who is the owner. He and his assistant, Murphy, did an excellent job, which included reinstalling the mantel, plastering and painting the wall. I would highly recommend American Professional Chimney Service, if you have a fireplace and chimney problem.

This is actually my second encounter with American Professional Chimney. They replaced my chase cover about 3 years ago for another house of mine. Their professionalism and attention to detail lead me to seek their service this time.
My parents' chimney needed to have the liner replaced. Stefan came on time. He gave a very sincere recommendation with all the options. I also asked him about the masonry around the house and property. He was very frank about what is needed and what is not. No sales pitch pushing.
The chimney work was done as promised. The work crew were very professional and neat. They made sure that there is no damage to the lawn and patio and covered the family room hardwood floor to prevent damage. I will definitely hire American Professional Chimney & Masonry again for other masonry.

Neil and his team did a great job putting an old fireplace back to work by building into the existing Victorian masonry a new safe firebox according to buildings regulations. They also installed a new flue liner and rebuilt the chimney stack above the roof. Dave fine-tuned the wood burning chimney to make sure it has sufficient draft to operate it safely. A second flue liner was required for the second chimney stack which is used for the exhaust of the boiler and gas heating system and waived the costs when circumstances required removing a kitchen cabinet to open the chimney stack and pull through the flue liner. The team also corrected a faulty duct of the boiler exhaust leading into the chimney stack. All in all excellent work of a professional team.

We recently had our chimney repaired to fix loose mortar joints, replace crumbled bricks and seal the chimney, and repair and seal the crown. We are very pleased with the quality of the work performed--particularly the new mortar joints and and the dozen or so replaced bricks. The masonary repairs blend in perfectly with the chimney and are all but invisible. We were also pleased with the quality of the inspection. The inspector was was certified and very thorough and competent. He identified several code violations in one of our flus that resulted from an incorrect/incomplete installation of a new water heater. Our water heater installer confirmed and corrected the problems but they would have gone undetected (and been dangerous) if left unidentified. More generally, the need for the proposed repairs were well documented and complete and the price for the work was competitive. We highly recommend this company.

I wanted to convert my gas fireplace into a wood burning one (which I know is unusual!) and got several estimates. They were all about the same amount, but American Professional Chimney was able to identify why the fireplace had been converted to gas in the first place (the mouth of the fireplace was too big for the flue, which caused smoke to pour out, leaving some smoke damage on the brick above). They relined the chimney, did some masonry work on the fireplace, and added a smoke guard. It works perfectly and no smoke has come out at all. They were communicative and easy to work with. They did a great job.
