My experience was that I was truly dealing with professionals. My neighbor called them to work on their system and they were so satisfied they recommended we give them a try. That turned out to be a good idea. Background: I had called a different company when my heater would not turn on. The OTHER company sold me an $800 inducer motor and said I needed to have the exhaust stack rebuilt ($2,000). Well, the motor didn't fix the problem, and I said no to the quote. I also never answered their calls again. The folks at Straight Shooter were all professionals, from the rep who initially looked at my furnace to the two fellas who came to install a new furnace a mine was hitting the twelve-year mark. At no time did I ever think they were trying to fool me or 'reel me in', so to speak. When the ceiling had to be cut and opened up to get the old unit out (in pieces even) I could ee that no one was happy about it but, the ceiling was opened and the old unit removed. That wasn't remarkable. Not wanting to leave a job done poorly, one of the reps told me he would fix it properly. I won't go into the details but, he went above and beyond in the level of workmanship that he put into the solution. Excellent! We talked about painting over the wood 'frame' he constructed but I will only paint the part you remove to crawl through. The wood he used looks great! OK, I am not that easy to convince so, I got a ladder and entered the attic. They had rebuilt the flooring from the access to the furnace. Before it was loose plywood and a few 2 x 4's. Not now... solid deck. The place was also cleaned up better than when they got there.

No joke. These guys are good. My neighbor recommended them to me and now I am recommending them to you. The folks I spoke to and dealt with; they have their ---- together. If / when I need help again, they'll get the call.

Exceptional Experience with Straight Shooter Heating and Cooling (yes, they also do plumbing!)

After consulting with five plumbing companies, Straight Shooter was the final one we reached out to, and they truly exceeded our expectations. Scott came to provide a quote for replacing our natural gas-powered water heater with a heat pump hybrid electric water heater. His expertise and honesty were immediately apparent. He meticulously explained the differences between Bradford and Rheem, highlighting why one was more expensive than the other, and ultimately recommended the more cost-effective option with equivalent specifications.
What truly sets this company apart is their deep knowledge of the Golden State rebates and TECH Clean rebates. They handled all the paperwork seamlessly and applied the rebates upfront, making the process hassle-free. Scott's quote was incredibly reasonable—one of the lowest among the six quotes we received. Additionally, he offered fantastic deals to replace our old water valves.
We decided to hire them for both the water heater and valves replacement. They scheduled the water heater replacement within three days and completed the job in just four hours, including the installation of a 240V outlet. The team left the area spotless, with no trash left behind.
Although there was a minor miscommunication regarding the water valves replacement, they promptly returned within a day or two to complete the job. Replacing the old valves was a challenging task, but they handled every surprise with professionalism and without any additional cost. This speaks volumes about Scott and the company's integrity, honesty, and straightforward communication.
Straight Shooter Plumbing is a rare gem in the industry, and I wholeheartedly recommend them for their exceptional service and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Fast and efficient, while courteous and helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. Installed new Alexa compatible Ecobee thermostat, showing me exactly how it operates. Nick was great!

Straight Shooter Heating & Cooling provided excellent HVAC repair services. They were professional, responsive, and got my system up and running again. I’ll definitely call them again for any future needs.

Really good in making sure the work requested was done right and nothing gets damaged along the way. Would definitely hire again when I need maintenance and/or repairs!
