I had a double pass done last season. The machine barely got an inch down and only half inch in some places, probably from going too fast and not letting it completely work. This year i will probably just do it myself.

A repeat customer but no more. Like several reviews here we found their service to go downhill over the last several years. Their scheduling and materials delivery systems are now very poor. The delivered service was eventually satisfactory but the entire top dressing process took five days (normally 1-2). They did make their initial scheduled date but could not finish. They then could not meet their next scheduled dates and/or failed to deliver enough material to complete in one visit. Another job was started and completed in our very own neighborhood during this time while ours remained in-progress!

We had them do aeration and fertilization. Great conversation and explanation about the process. The lead guy really knows what he is talking about. I saw the questionable reviews but thought that it would be hard to mess up putting holes in the yard. However, the crew found a way. Their process is to scalp the lawn, aerate the lawn followed by seeding and sanding. The results? Lots and lots of sand. We kept telling ourselves to trust the process. Five weeks later we still have bare spots but enough sand to build castles. We have resorted to going out to raking the sand to better distribute it. Looks like we have lost some parts of the lawn now. After almost paying $1300 for a small front yard I did not really expect to have to do much of anything. Was hoping for more. I think the owner is working his butt off but his crew is either lazy, complacent or dies not have the experience. I suspect that he and his company is a victim of the current labor shortage and he is having to deal with the best that he can get. Beware.

Cary, the part owner and sales manager, says all the right things to lure you in, only to repeatedly fail to respond and ultimately deliver. Our 2.5 acre job was contracted to begin last July. Crew arrived, expecting to be able to bring a 3 ton dump truck up an asphalt drive to dump sand. When asked to warrant that no damage would occur to driveway, Cary suddenly decided that it was too late in the season to apply top dressing to zoysia and that to ensure a "million dollar job" it is best be done this May instead. He said "I'm growing concerned it's too late in the season to do it right". We took him at face value and re-contracted for a May application. Then May was pushed a month later to June ("we have less complicated jobs that need to take priority"). Then, when reminded of the need to drop sand at the street, the "special conditions" of our job (ie not wanting a 3 ton dump truck on a driveway) made it less desirable (unprofitable, given the cost of plywood sheets needed to protect the street, "do you know how much plywood costs now?") for Level Lawns to complete service. Finally, their customer service is non-responsive. This company does not care about ensuring a quality job without damage to property. Rather, its owners are about churn and burn. If you choose to use them vs. other more reputable top dressing firms, make sure to be clear about your expectations and get them to warrant against damage to driveway, sprinkler heads, and any other property you value.

I had my yard done by Level Lawn last year and it came back lumpy after 4 weeks and still uneven as if nothing was ever done, I'm constantly scaping my yard. I reach out to Level Lawn about the issue and they came back two months later with a little bit of sand that they were trying to be careful with because they wanted to use it for other people yards. I called the Joey and the company many times to come back and fix the yard with no success. I lost almost 2K with trying to get my yard to look right because I live on a corner and get a lot of attention. After I posted my issue a manager called me and said that they will come back this March and redo my yard and make it right and asked if I could take my post down of which I did but they never showed and won't respond to email. Level Lawn is not providing the quality and honesty of service. Once they get your money, good luck!

This is the worst company I have ever tried to hire. Paid for a service and all they do is make excuses why they can't come out. They call you the day before to tell you they will be there the next day, and then never show up or call. Then when you finally get ahold of them, they have nothing but excuses. STAY AWAY WORTHLESS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would give this company a zero rating, but had to select one star.
